1997,98,99,00,01,02,03 Honda CRV stereo removal instructions to help you remove your radio fast!

Radio Removal:
1)Unsnap push-pin fasteners from bottom of center console and remove bottom panel.
2)Extract (4) screws from bottom edge of bezel.
3)Extract (4) screws from inside dash below pocket.
4)Pull cup holder / pocket assembly out of dash and remove.
5)Open glove box and remove stoppers.  Extract (2) screws from right side of center dash bezel.
6)From below steering wheel extract (2) screws from bottom edge of panel, unsnap upper edge of panel, unplug, and remove.
7)unsnap top edge or center lower bezel, unplug and remove.
8)Extract (2) screws from sides of pocket.
9)Unsnap radio / AC control dash bezel, unplug, and remove.
10)Extract (4) screws from each side of the radio bracket assembly to remove radio from dash / AC bezel

The 2 main things you will need when installing your new stereo is a wiring adapter and a dash kit.

Wiring Adapter



The wiring adapter is a piece which has a plug on one end and wiring sticking out of the other end. The plug connects to the factory wiring, and the wires are connected to the matching color wiring on the new stereo. This allows for connecting a new stereo without having to cut the factory wires.

Stock stereos have varying sizes, and if you just place an aftermarket stereo in the hole left by a stock stereo then there will be gaps around the stereo. The dash kit is a plastic piece which fits into the hole left by the stock stereo and fills in the gaps between the aftermarket stereo and the dash.
