1993,94,95,96 Chevrolet Camaro stereo removal instructions to help you remove your radio fast!

Radio Removal:
1)Extract (3) screws from the bottom edge of the dash below the glove box and remove the glove box.
2)Extract (3) screws in the glove box cavity that secure the radio trim bezel to the dash.
3)Extract (2) screws from the center of the under dash panel below the steering column.
4)Extract (2) screws at the bottom edge of the dash below the steering column and remove the underdash panel.
5)Extract (2) screws from where you removed the under dash panel to remove the radio trim bezel.
6)Extract (2) screws securing the radio to the dash on the driver's side and the 10mm bolt securing the radio on the passenger's side.

The 2 main things you will need when installing your new stereo is a wiring adapter and a dash kit.

Wiring Adapter



The wiring adapter is a piece which has a plug on one end and wiring sticking out of the other end. The plug connects to the factory wiring, and the wires are connected to the matching color wiring on the new stereo. This allows for connecting a new stereo without having to cut the factory wires.

Stock stereos have varying sizes, and if you just place an aftermarket stereo in the hole left by a stock stereo then there will be gaps around the stereo. The dash kit is a plastic piece which fits into the hole left by the stock stereo and fills in the gaps between the aftermarket stereo and the dash.
