1992,93,94,95 Oldsmobile Achieva stereo removal instructions to help you remove your radio fast!

Radio Removal:
1)Extract the (2) screws from the bottom of the dash bezel, below the radio and above the console pocket, securing it to the dash.
2)Extract the (2) screws above the instrument cluster.
3)Remove the (2) screws above the AC vent located in the center of the dash.
4)Pull the dash bezel out away from the dash and using a panel remove tool / screwdriver, carefully disconnect the fastening clips securing the dash vents (the one in the center and the one on the driver's side) to the bezel.
5)Disconnect all the connectors and slide the dash bezel away from the dash towards the passenger side.
6)Extract the (2) 10mm bolts securing the radio to the dash, pull the radio from the cavity, unplug all the connectors, and remove the radio.

The 2 main things you will need when installing your new stereo is a wiring adapter and a dash kit.

Wiring Adapter

The wiring adapter is a piece which has a plug on one end and wiring sticking out of the other end. The plug connects to the factory wiring, and the wires are connected to the matching color wiring on the new stereo. This allows for connecting a new stereo without having to cut the factory wires.

Dash Kit

Stock stereos have varying sizes, and if you just place an aftermarket stereo in the hole left by a stock stereo then there will be gaps around the stereo. The dash kit is a plastic piece which fits into the hole left by the stock stereo and fills in the gaps between the aftermarket stereo and the dash.
